A small window sits on the wall across from the iron bars that keep you prisoner where you sit alone in a stone cell. Footsteps echo down the hall and before you appears a man you recognize: the high priest.
"Are you ready to confess?" his voice stern.
Without hesitation you spit at the mans feet. You refuse to confess to a crime you didn’t commit.
"That is a shame..." he returns your gaze. "the King’s decided that you're to be executed this afternoon for treason. May God have mercy on your soul." He turns and leaves you alone.
There’s no point in escape. You curl up in the corner and let sleep take you.
